A value stream mapping (VSM) is a lean tool used for process re-engineering. It is made up of three distinct-looking parts: a process map, a corresponding timeline, and the information flow. The process map is comprised of the steps and the information associated with the steps of your process including the amount of time taken by these steps of the process.
